Off-Schedule

The first hints of green started colouring the horizon as Melinoë arrived on the beach.
“You’re late,” Eris admonished, not looking up while loading her gun.
Melinoë frowned. “I don’t believe I have any set time to arrive on this shore.”
“You’re late when I’ve been here for ages. I’m bored,” she pouted.
“You could find something to do other than blocking my way up, if you need entertainment.”
“Nah. You’re worth the wait.” Eris smiled brightly, zooming over to where Melinoë stood and giving her a quick peck on the lips. “Now come on, we haven’t got all night!”
